If you’re craving something warm, calming, and cozy that’s still nourishing and full of flavor, this Vanilla Pistachio Matcha is your new go-to! Imagine earthy, grassy matcha gently whisked into creamy milk with a subtle hint of toasted vanilla and pistachio. It’s soothing, satisfying, and the perfect way to slow down, even on the busiest mornings. This simple, quick recipe gives you that comfort-in-a-cup moment with zero stress.

Whether you're curled up with a book, reading up on cases, or need something warm to hold, this drink hits the spot.
So, if you're ready to cozy up from the inside out, let’s make a matcha!
Ingredients:
5 grams Encha ceremonial-grade matcha (or any matcha you have)
¾ cup regular 2% milk
A splash (1-2 tbsp) Táche Unsweetened Vanilla Pistachio Milk
Optional: ½ tsp honey
25 ml of warm water
Milk frother
mine is handheld, but they all work!

Instructions:
If you like your matcha at a ready-to-drink temperature, start at step 1. If you like it more hot than warm, start with step 3 and then do steps 1, 2, 4, etc.
Step 1: Pour out ¾ cup of 2% milk in a mug and heat it for 1 minute in your microwave. You want it hot and steamy, not boiling!
Step 2: Once the milk is heated, add a splash (1-2 tablespoons max) of Táche Unsweetened Vanilla Pistachio Milk. Táche’s vanilla flavor is strong, so a little goes a long way. Too much can overpower the earthy matcha.
Step 3: Now you want to prepare your matcha: In a mug or small bowl, sift 1 tsp of matcha powder. Add a few tablespoons of warm water (not boiling if you're fancy you can heat it to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit) and whisk until smooth and frothy. Don’t skip sifting because it helps prevent clumps!
Step 4: Next, pour the matcha into your warm milk and stir gently. If your frother did the mixing already, just pour straight in.
Step 5: Optional sweetener: If you like a little sweet drink, add ½ to 1 tsp of honey and stir. I usually skip the honey, but on especially cold or sick days, I’ll add it for extra warmth.
Step 6: Optional – For Vanilla Lovers: For my aesthetic individuals and vanilla lovers, let's froth up a cloud! For this, you can froth up a separate bit of Táche's unsweetened vanilla pistachio milk for a foamy, flavorful topping. Just microwave or heat about ¼ cup on the stove until it’s almost boiling (you should see steam, but no bubbles yet). Then froth it for about 10 seconds, and it should puff up into this beautiful pistachio-vanilla cloud. Pour or spoon it right over your matcha for an extra vanilla treat.
Step 7: That’s it! Your Vanilla Pistachio Matcha is ready. Sip it slowly and let it warm your chest. It’s comfy in a cup.

Notes:
I prefer 2% milk because it brings out the grassy, earthy flavor of the matcha.
If you're vegan, substitute the 2% milk with Táche Unsweetened Original Pistachio Milk because the nutty flavor is even more noticeable.
Frothing the vanilla pistachio milk on its own makes a lovely topping and is especially good for those who love a stronger vanilla note.
Also, I recommend using unsweetened milk even for those of you with a sweet tooth! I've experimented with sweetened milk, and there's always a subtle yet overpowering lingering taste of that sweetener that ruins the matcha experience for me!
A Little Health Sip: Why I Love This Matcha Combo:
Matcha is rich in antioxidants which may help reduce inflammation and support cell health.
L-theanine in matcha promotes calm, focused energy, but without the crash.
Unsweetened pistachio milk offers heart-healthy fats and a natural boost of potassium.
2% milk adds protein and calcium for bone support and satiety.
